Empresa de investimentos compra operações da Starbucks no Brasil
A rede norte-americana de cafeterias Starbucks vendeu suas operações no Brasil para a empresa de investimentos SouthRock. Os valores da transação não foram divulgados.
Com o acordo, a SouthRock passa a licenciar a marca Starbucks e operar todas a suas lojas no país.
A SouthRock é dona da Brazil Airport Restaurants, uma subsidiária que detém licenciamento exclusivo do TGI Fridays e Mr. Baker em aeroportos brasileiros e licenciamento parcial de Gendai e Tostex.
A rede de cafés Starbucks chegou ao Brasil em 2006 e hoje tem 113 lojas em 17 cidades nos estados de São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro, com 1.450 funcionários.
Com o negócio, as operações da Starbucks nos 17 mercados da América Latina e do Caribe em que a empresa atua se tornarão totalmente licenciadas.
